High School Design Project

My high school senior project was different than most. Instead of writing and presenting an argumentative paper, I wanted to build something. The idea I had was quite simple: design a product that held a dipping sauce cup in place for use in a car. What followed was a year of learning the design process hands-on, from brainstorming to learning CAD, then to prototyping with 3D printing. By the end of the year, I had a working prototype, affectionately known as β€œThe Sauce Boss".” Without a doubt, this project propelled me into my career as a Mechanical Engineering student.
